I was in a rush to set up my home owners insurance due to upcoming closing date, and he expedited my request and was able to work through my needs accordingly. Would definitely recommend.

$75 per month renters insurance. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Agents come and go like the wind. Poor representation. Poor service. Poor communication. I overpaid renters insurance because of improper representation through Belltown. Would not recommend doing business here under any circumstance. Reply: You were to manage my insurance needs. You let me auto policy laps when lost a card and was not notified. If you are my insurance agent doing a good job You would have called me or emailed to say the auto direct payment did not go through. Being an agent is more than just selling policies. You cost me thousands. You called and i explained this to you. Now you state that you are here to help? Again I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU.

I'm not a personal client of Todd Comer at Belltown Insurance, but my colleague is, and something he said in passing about Todd struck me enough that I wanted to share it. He told me that when his family member locked their keys in their car, they called Todd. Keep in mind, Todd's not a car guy, Todd's an insurance guy. But Todd's established such trust with my colleague and his family that they thought of Todd in a crisis. The best part is that Todd answered and was able to call a locksmith. This is how I remember the story. Like a legend, some details may have changed in the re-telling.

I worked with Holden Knecht at BIG to purchase my home, earthquake, and auto coverage. Holden presented me with several options and was extremely helpful throughout the process. I'm shocked. My experience with most insurance businesses has led me to equate it used car salesmen. They sniff you out and only care about the sale - by ripping you off. Here's what happened. I needed commercial auto insurance. I personally called: - geico - progressive - farmers - hartford - veracity None of them said they will insure us for just auto only.

So I had to go to local brokers and agents - the last thing I wanted to do. I contacted an agent for: - insurance northwest - farmers - 3 other places that I won't name as they run their own business under their own name - lastly BIG Seattle For two 20 yr old vans with 200k+, used 1 mile a day roundtrip to drop off packages at the post office, needing only the cheapest insurance possible.

All agents quoted me $4000-6000. Ridiculous. Then I get a call from Belltown and rather than tossing me a quote, they took 10 minutes to call me, understand our business and provided a quote for $1800 from the same big company. Boom. Signed, sealed, delivered. Moving over all my insurance to them soon. Other insurers, read and learn - that's how you win business.

Called two days ago to ask about an umbrella policy. Spoke to someone who said he would do a little research and call me within an hour. Hmmm.still waiting two days later.

At one time I gave this place 5 stars, because I had an initial bad experience with a representative who was too lazy to do his job, and the owner stepped into fix things. But after dealing with this company for a few years, I can say that the initial bad experience has been the real theme. I have had to change information or my address on my policies a few times, and each time the owner has been a real $@!* about it, whining about how much time it takes just to change an address. Hey, buddy, if the insurance companies make that a hassle for you, 45 minutes or whatever you complained to me about, then take it up with them. I'm the one paying you to manage these things.

Even worse, I discovered after the fact that that on one such occasion instead of changing my address, the owner decided it would be easier to just not do it. My renewal notice was sent to my old address and the policy was cancelled because I never received it. Thanks for helping me with my business and insurance needs, BIG! I made sure the insurance carrier knows what a great job you are doing, as well.

I was referred to Todd from a friend and I was so glad. Todd is Reliable, trust worthy and he saved me $80 a month from American Family ( I do not have a perfect driving record). Todd is quick to do what you ask and always gets it done. Their claim service also has been excellent. I highly recommend Belltown Insurance to anyone.

Todd Comer and his partners do a great job with service and insurance product knowledge. My home was tricky to insure since it was built in 1906 and has knob and tube wiring throughout. Todd and his partners located a great carrier and got me coverage when other companies couldn't. I also have my auto insurance with BIG and wouldn't dream of working with any other company.

I worked with Todd at Belltown Insurance and couldn't be happier. He really took the time to educate me and learn about my insurance needs. Would not hesitate to do business again or refer my friends.

Todd was great in getting a great rate and coverage for our business. We nolonger have to pay the excessive rate on our copier machine on our lease. Saved us over $500 per year just on the copier.

Great trustworthy group. I have sent a few friends there and they have been very satisfied. You can overpay or underpay and not be insured correctly when buying insurance- these guys really pay attention and know their business. I insure my apartment building and pay a few thousand dollars less than i was previously for better insurance. When people care it makes a difference. They do care!

I had a good auto insurer years ago and then one day got a call from an agent there who said they were going out on their own. After assuring me he could do a comparable/better job, I figured I could always which back if not. So I went with him. He is James Monheimer now of Belltown Insurance Group. He is a broker. Fast forward 2 or 3 years and I (finally) notice I'm now paying two thirds more for the same insurance, but now via another agency.

So I go back to my original auto insurer and the original rate. Soon as I do, guess who I get a call from? (And how does he know I switched?) "Oh, i know a great agent at this place, your gonna." I tell James, "Not interested" Moral is this guy was patient, but I suspect he figured my attention would wane, especially with direct withdrawal, and wouldn't notice my rate going up, or would forget what I was originally paying, or whatever.and he could get my money.

And he did, until I called my old insurer and sure enough, my original low rate was sitting right on the table, waiting for me to snap out of it. Should never have left. My response doesn't stop James from sending me all these quotes form 7 or 8 insurance agencies, complete with great low rates. Well, where was James with these great rates for all these years?

What the hell is the purpose for having an agent if they won't occasionally do something in your interests? Is it really waiting game, until they think they got you, then raise rates? I doubt there is one good reason to have an auto insurance agent. And I have my doubts about a lot of brokers, especially their long term agendas, though I know some who have answered well in the short term Think about it, a representative at the insurance agency is no less "personal" than an agent, whom I doubt you'll hear from until you threaten to switch, and so, why the middleman?

Plus on this page full of quotes James sent me, I notice "Credit Scored: Yes". Well he wouldn't tell me what that meant, and soft hit though it is or would be, it is illegal for them to have your credit run without your authorization. You can call the Department of Insurance if you have a problem with these people. Hope this episode helps you make a better decision. :)

RE: Weston Sprigg Three cheers for Weston! I work for a captive insurance agency whose rules are very strict when it comes to SR22 filings. One of my clients needed an SR22 and we couldn't accommodate this request. I called another well-known high risk insurance broker who reluctantly offered a quote. I then called Weston who took a ridiculous amount of time out of his day to quote identical coverages to what the client had (without passing judgment) and checking a variety of companies.

When we decided to go through Weston he then went through the options to make the insurance more affordable. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I had a young client in the office who in the matter of an afternoon found out his drivers license was suspended, I couldn't give him the insurance he needed and then he found the insurance through Weston for a price he could afford. This would never had happened if Weston hadn't taken the time to answer our questions and walk us through the options.
