The Engel Agency, Inc. was established by Robert and Beverly Engel in 1977 in the Maquoketa community. The couple ran the agency side-by-side until their son, Bruce Engel, joined the family business in the mid 90's. With a growing book of business, Bruce and Robert decided to bring on Jennifer Machande in 2003 to help service clients.
Our reasons for becoming insurance professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw friends and family struggling to find the coverage they needed. We are confident that with our understanding of the insurance space, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner, so they can easily grasp personal insurance concepts.
