Unfortunately we declined to work with this agency given their representation of carriers that include dog been discrimination in their policies. We understand this is a broader issue with their carriers however, we found other agencies both locally & nationally that did not discriminate based on our dog's breed but rather more pertinent & relevant information.

Refused to quote insurance for our small property management company for fear up upsetting the larger property management company that managed the HOA previously. Also refused to share the HOA's current policy with the HOA paying for it without the permission of the prior property management company. Homeowners in the HOA could not sell their homes because they couldn't prove that the HOA had insurance coverage because the insurance agency wouldn't release the policy information.

There a really good old fashioned insurance broker. There are a lot more insurance companies than Geico and many cater to special interests or needs much like Geico used to. You should be able to save money and or get specialized coverage. This is especially valuable for small business owners or even just doing the occasion freelance work.

I would never want to deal with this insurance resource based on my recent NON-interaction with it. Calling to inquire on details of group insurance for my condo unit, I was VERY brusquely transferred to another individual's direct line where I left a vm with all the pertinent details of my inquiry. I NEVER HEARD BACK: not even to acknowledge my call, much less answer my question ( record exists in my call log or my voicemail records)!?
Call it unprofessional or incompetent, it's unacceptable for Ny such organization to be that lackadaisical: if you can't or don't deal with individuals, at least have the grace to offer a referral!

We have had both our home and car insurance policies with the Essex Agency for 12 years. The office is quick to respond, and helpful with questions in between claims. When we switched to them, they were a good financial decision, and all these years later the service has kept me a customer. We heat with a wood stove only. and they were able to find coverage for us.
