Insurance policy was fair however they require certain upgrades done to the property with a deadline after the policy I already in place.

To whom this may concern, My neighbor's water heater died November 19th and all the water came down into my utility closet. Water was everywhere which caused damage to my heater, water heater, and walls/ceiling. I've been without heat for 16 days and a water heater that hasn't functioned correctly since the leak. I have to have the water heater temperature turned up close to the red on the dial.

Even says on the warning label on the water heater "do not use product if ANY of this has been in water". The lack of urgency with this company is shocking. I'm always calling for updates and the response time isn't there. I call two - three times a day, then I get an email hours later. I have supplied all photos and documents that are needed. Had two HVAC and plumbing companies come out.

Both companies have stated I need a replacement for ALL the items in the closet. But this company continues to go against me and want more proof even after professional recommendations and concerns have been stated with quotes. The temperatures are going to drop this week and I am worried about pipes bursting. When I called and a lady picked up and I asked if there was somebody in charge in the office that I could speak to, the lady laughed and said you have to be specific. Farmers of Salem has treated me like I am the enemy.

The biggest problem w/this company is that you cannot speak to anyone at Farmers of Salem office about your policy; they are not allowed to discuss your policy, there is no portal, and they cannot provide you with documents in electronic format. You are at the mercy of the underwriter. Sorry to say that my experience w/John Wilkens agency has been unsatisfactory.

I spoke to 2 agents at John Wilkens, both who had misinterpreted what my coverage actually is for my HOA policy; according to the Farmers corporate agent, who was reluctant to confirm that my coverage was 125% less than what John Wilkens agency claimed it was.

I would highly recommend this insurance company. I had a flood in my house and Farmer's responded immediately and took all actions to complete my claim within days. I was very happy with the communication and service they provided.

I filed a wind damage claim the beginning of April because we have missing shingles and missing siding. This has yet to be resolved. Should be a very easy claim but this company is just trying to get out of paying a legitimate claim. I would run as far as you can from them. I at least can live in my home. I don't want to imagine how they would deal with a house fire. their communication is piss poor at best.

I don't recommend them at all and suggest you look for other companies if you actually want coverage when you have an issue. This company just wants to collect your premiums annually, without offer anything in return.

They don't show up, don't settle, don't pay and then stage fake photos of trees hanging over your house that don't hang over your house, and THEN threaten to drop your insurance in 30 days (but mail it 20 days out) if you don't cut trees down that aren't even yours. My children and I lived 14 months under a tarp due to this company.

I have only ever dealt with my agent and billing concerning my policy. Over the course of my first year with farmers, I had a number of questions concerning coverage and made several changes. Every phone call and question was answered with " If I can help with anything else please let me know" This is why I love a Mutual company with CUSTOMER driven goals!

This company is amazing! I put them right up there among the big brand companies, like Farmers. Their service is great, I've never seen any complication with the claims department. Their underwriters are helpful, considerate, and really know what they're talking about. The policy premiums are reasonable, and the coverage is outstanding! I'd give them more stars if I could.

The experience from the billing agent was worthless. All they could do is point me back to my agent who was not answering the their telephone but the insurance was unable to answer questions.

I have not received personal attention and I definitely did not receive superior service. I did receive day after. For two weeks no return calls regarding the completion of my claim. which left my family without a shower or toilet working. I'm completely dissatisfied with the servicing of my claim.
