Incredibly hostile dude named Mike. Horrible, miserable experience. Bought a car and went to this insurance company because it is near my house and pass it all the time. I came in with my mom and my boyfriend. We explained we just bought the car that day, I had no insurance, and we just were looking for options. Lady up front was sweet but then Mike ran check on me (and my mother and step father as well - why?
I am just looking for insurance for ME) And started asking aggressive and pointed questions about my driving history. Saying I had tons of hits on my driving record (I am aware but all I asked for was options), literally questioning why I came here: "You just bought a car in Chelmsford and now you happen to be here?" and also telling me that it would be pretty much impossible to get any rates, only substandard.
He kept questioning why I just didnt go to a previous insurance company I had. Why would that matter? We explained we just hadn't and he kept at it! Guy also started bringing up my mother and stepdads driving history as well! For what? It would just be me on the insurance! There is a much nicer way to say you can't help me and don't want to help me.

Critical: Professionalism I spoke to a friend of mine a few days ago and asked if she could get me a few quotes. I had no Idea she no longer worked here. I was told to avoid this place. Apparently my friend was treated like a slave by this Colleen lady. Stay away people. If they treat their employees like this imagine what they can do to you.

It has taken me a whole one year to write this review mainly because I do not want to hurt a small business and I wanted to make sure I wrote the review from a neutral point and not from the perspective of an angry customer, but a fair one. My family received their yearly calendar and I was reminded of my interaction with them and the fact that for the past 9 years my dad and I and other family members get the same calendar and how we have been loyal customers for so very long. Also, we have not ever called for help with anything, or filled an insurance claim.
If I was to only add one policy for the past 9 years that will be over $10,000 in premium from just one family member. I called them looking for a quote on a Homeowners insurance for my dads house "again, we were going to give them another policy". I asked for a quote and I was told I was going to get a quote within one day which is fine of course, I followed up the next day and spoke with someone by the name of Mike who told me he will look into it and get back to me later in the day.
He never did. I called again the next day and at this point Mike becomes rude and implies insurance fraud and asked me why I am calling so much? excuse me? I am doing my diligent work on assisting my father, there is over 9 years of history with this agency and when have we ever filled an insurance claim? or call for assistance? - It appears to bother him that we have a large number of properties and that we need insurance for them?.
That is not fraud Mr Mike, that is call being successful and making the right investments. Maybe the part that bother Mr Mike was a woman being on top of business and holding him accountable for the things he said he was going to do, but did not do. There is a time line via email that goes on from Feb 20 to March 7. Still, no response, no quote, no apology.
I called and requested to speak with his boss, but his boss never called back. I am honestly not sure if he even has one, maybe he owns this agency and in writing this review I realized that this review or complain should actually be sent along with a 93A complaint to the state. Instead of wasting money on your yearly calendars, consider spending your money on training Mr Mike on how to properly service his book of business.
On a positive note and the reason why you do get one star is due to Mrs Colleen, the lady who picked up the phone and spoke with me before transferring the call. She was informative, she was clear and fair.

Funny, I use this post to respond to reviews written about our agency and somehow only my comments responding to others posting keeps getting deleted. Several of the posts are not now or never have been customers of our agency, so not sure how they can review us so negatively. Other are and sometimes there are 2 sides to every story. And other we have dropped the ball on helping a customer achieve the help they are looking for. Also, there is our agency and another insurance agency in Lowell with the same last name, very often we are confused for each other, but the 2 are not affiliated. We are more then happy to speak to anyone who has a issue the quality of our services or encounters with one of our staff.

I would highly advise looking for alternative insurance options then going with this insurance company. I decided to use them for motorcycle insurance and had coverage for a year; was called twice during that time because they said my policy had been canceled and the RMV would be notified along with charging me cancellation fees. I explained to them that I never told them to cancel it and I have bank statements for every payment made on time.
They quickly told me they would waive the fee and resume coverage. Didn't think to much of it till I recently got the same call and they mentioned the same thing that my policy had been canceled and that a cancellation fee was due. Left a message stating again that I didn't cancel my policy and all payments had been made on time. I will be searching for a new Insurance agency as of today and will advise others to avoid going through this company, strikes me as a very shady operation and they have a huge lack of communication to those using their insurance; advice for them would be to contact your customers before you decide to just cancel someones insurance due to an error in your documentation and or contact with the customer.
