A Group Coverage or Integrated HRA is paired with group health insurance and provides reimbursement for employee out-of-pocket medical expenses. Unlike an HSA, employers have full control to determine reimbursement allowances and what expenses are eligible under the HRA. Employers only pay when employees incur eligible expenses, and reimbursements are tax advantaged for both. A Group Coverage HRA can help reduce overall group medical costs while offering a superior benefit and first-dollar coverage for plan participants.
The Marin Benefits Debit MasterCard is pre-loaded, pre-activated, and provides immediate access to your Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) plan funds to pay for your qualified expenses without having to file reimbursement claims. The Marin Benefits Debit MasterCard is available for select HRA plans.
Marin Benefits may, in accordance with IRS guidelines, request documentation for your Marin Benefits Debit MasterCard transactions to confirm that services were eligible under your employer's HRA Plan. While your provider has been paid, these transactions are pending substantiation and will require you to submit documentation to be fully approved.
A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is a type of healthcare account funded and sponsored entirely by your employer. Your HRA is designed to reimburse a designated portion of your eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses as determined by your employer. The HRA is not insurance and is not part of your medical plan.
