Services
With our roots stemming back to when Vermont passed the first true domestic captive domicile legislation, Risk Services is one the oldest captive managers in the United States. Risk Services is also one of the largest captive managers in the country, managing well over one hundred captive insurance facilities and forming more Risk Retention Groups over the past decade than any other captive manager.
Risk Services provides many more services than the typical captive manager, who is often no more than a bookkeeper providing a domiciliary home office. Risk Services is a full service insurance manager providing all the services necessary to form and operate an insurance company or captive facility, including, but not limited to, consulting and formation services, financial and NAIC reporting, assistance with regulatory compliance, underwriting and policyholder services, and acting as reinsurance and fronting intermediary.
Risk Services is an approved captive management firm in the major on-shore and off-shore domiciles, providing financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and other captive servicing needs. We provide complete captive management services, from conceptual analysis and feasibility investigation, through day-to-day operations.
Risk Retention Groups, also known as RRGs, are entities owned by their insureds and authorized to underwrite the liability insurance risks of their owners. RRG owners must be from a homogenous industry group and based on a single state license are able to operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
