First off in order for me to keep my homeowners policy they wanted me to side the back of my house. I am disabled on disability I can not afford $10,000 and up for siding on my house. plus they took the money from my account before it was even due as you have to have automatic bill pay. I got this policy through Crowel insurance. Tried to cancel it on the 2nd of July. but the papers were never sent to madison mutual. So I have to go back and forth to get my policy cancelled and try to get my money back.

My agency represents Madison and they are a great carrier. Very responsive to agency and policyholder concerns. They do a very good job on claims. My wife and I have been using Madison Mutual for Auto insurance and Renter's insurance for multiple years. During that time they were easy to talk to and great to work with on all of our claims. Because of this, we decided to give them a chance with our home insurance while building a new house. They quoted us a great rate and have made the process very simple.

I switched my homeowner and auto policies to Madison Mutual 4-5 months ago because of their incredibly low rates. They sent a home inspector to my home in late fall, and I received a letter that my gutters needed to be cleaned (no duh) and I was to install a railing on a grand decorative back staircase that obviously wasn't necessary or practical.
When I told them this they promptly canceled my policy and reported the cancellation to TransUnion so my "insurance score" is now extremely low, causing the purchase of homeowner's insurance through another company to double in cost. I'd recommend staying far away from this company, their low rates really are too good to be true.
