I've had a Homeowner's Policy with Shaffer Insurance Services in Palmdale Ca. for multiple years. I just received a notice of from the Shaffer office telling me that the provider (American Reliable) is cancelling subject policy due to fire hazard conditions in our area. I immediately attempted to contact Shaffer Insurance (twice) for assistance in finding another provider as time was of the essence. Now, based on our history of only one claim and NEVER missing a premium payment in all related years, I would expect, at the very least, acknowledgement of my request for assistance re: this very important requirement for my home.
No response equates to a non-caring and unprofessional method to conduct business. In the interim, we have been fortunate to find another agency who immediately resolved our concerns by finding another provider within hours. Therefore, it is with reluctance that I would not recommend Shaffer Insurance.
