Samuel Statland and Hershel Katz founded Statland & Katz, Ltd. in 1974. They started Statland & Katz at the corner of Colesville Road and Spring Street in Silver Spring, MD, with one employee in a very small office. Their early concept of a consumer-oriented, one-stop shop eventually grew to a staff of 10 in much larger space.
I have been a Statland & Katz client for more than ten years and have always found Julie and her team to be service-oriented and responsive to my needs. They have helped me select appropriate coverage limits, reduce my costs and understand a host of auto insurance issues. As someone who spends every day focusing on my customers and developing their loyalty, I know I can count on Julie and her team will guide me through a smooth process.
Julie Statland joined Statland & Katz in 1989 as a client service representative after having first worked for a major carrier and a competitor. Julie advanced to sales and marketing and then became a full partner at Statland & Katz in 1997. Julie continued the Statland & Katz, philosophy and tradition of community service.
