John was raised in Winchester, MA and graduated from University of Rhode Island with a BA in Psychology after spending a semester abroad at the University College of London. John came into the business in 1987 to join his father and has spent all of his time in insurance with Lehrer & Madden. He received his training in Hartford, CT at the Aetna Insurance Institute and became a licensed broker in 1988. He is currently taking courses toward a CRIS designation (Construction Risk Insurance Specialist).
