Closed on my home in 2014. Randomly I got a letter from Michelle Moskowitz at Sutton Alliance, saying they have over $3,000 sitting in escrow from the purchase of my home in 2014. The letter stated very clearly that I had 30 days to sign the paper and get my funds, or they would be released to the state. Not knowing if this letter was legitimate, or an elaborate phishing scam, considering I bought my home 5 years ago, I didn't want to sign the paper and send it right in without confirming it was real first.

So I called the numbers on the letter and left messages for Michelle everyday for a week. After getting no response, I stopped at their office which is in the same town I live in. The woman at the front desk informed me Michelle was out of the office yesterday but would be certain to get back to me soon. She introduced me to a man who said he worked with her and confirmed the letter was legitimate.

So I sign the letter and give it to him. I called three days later to see what was going on and surprisingly no responses from Michelle. So I asked the front desk who her Supervisor was, and suddenly low and behold Michelle was available. I asked when my money was going to be given to me, and offered to pick it up. She told me it needed to be mailed, and she would get to it me sometime late next week.

I asked her why my money was in escrow for 5 years, and why it was going to take over a week to cut a check. She laughed and started becoming condescending and belittling because I mentioned working at a title company previously, and questioned why this was the way it was. Now it's over a week later. Still no check. Still no answer from several calls this week to Michelle.

So now I'm leaving messages with other people in the company to see if they can give me a name of who may be able to help me get the money that I should have received five years ago. Yet these people have the audacity to send me a letter saying I have 30 days before they give up my money to the state. Meanwhile it takes them 5 years, and they don't return phone calls virtually ever.

A real Class Act they have over there. And these are the people managing peoples home purchases and sales. Scary. If I don't get my money by tomorrow, I'm filing complaints with regulatory agencies. So incredibly unprofessional. And after reading the other reviews here, I guess I'm not surprised.

Sutton Title was good during the process of handling the closing of escrow, unfortunately the post-closing is horrible. Closed in January, deed recorded in October, policy? Never received. Here's the worst part, everyone can make a mistake, but ANSWER the phone! Answer the 20 emails! Return a call! I guess that once they get paid, clients are nothing afterwards. I'm giving them 5 days, if we don't get the title policy for a closing 10 months ago, we're filling a complaint.
