Very unprofessional Joann macdonald was rude condescending said ''she ''was not paying for the roof if we did not have our roof covered with tarp you would have thought she was paying for the roof of with her income she then told me to make a new claim to change date to when wind was high when I was originally approved for interior damages but not roof?

Where the damage is coming from forward to being denied for roof when Texas state law states if a shingle is loose or lifted the insurance has to cover it it seems like they would do anything to get out of paying for what needs to get done when we pay our premiums monthly this is the purpose of insurance just to be denied

Jeffery was a fantastic roof adjuster and explained everything during the inspection process of my claim. Thomas was great in helping me get my claim approved and in providing all of the needed documentation. I'm happy to have TWIA coverage, especially after having just gone through the claims process for a roof replacement. Was much easier than I was expecting.

TWIA (Texas Wind Is Allstate) will do any and everything they can to avoid paying out a claim. It's a govt agency so that should tell you everything you need to know about the organization. When does the govt ever run anything efficient? It might as well be called Biden coverage. Only insurance that's equally as bad is Allstate (Allsnake). Stay "FAR" away from either one of these scammers posing as "insurance" companies.

Unfortunately this company is trash, LITERALLY TRASH. Great employees though, it seems like they do try to help but it's within the company itself that is trash not them. The company does not put its clients first at all so people DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with TWIA. I noticed that they all like to get off early before a big Holiday comes which makes no sense cause it isn't the Holiday they should remain open to help it's clients before the office closes on the actual Holiday day but that just goes to show that they DO NOT care about us as clients and that they care to have the rest of the afternoon off.

TWIA BEWARE. They are canceling policies for any reason. They canceled my policy because no original certificate since 1990. didn't own the building 31 years ago. They took more than 1/2 of my payment plus "surcharges". I suspect this is retribution for claims made and partially paid from Hurricane Harvey. I had to fight for reimbursement for damages. Watch out for these guys if you live on the island. BTW their reviews are so bad they have their employees give them a 5 star rating.lol

Anyone know of another Good windstorm company in southeast Texas? I've had TWIA for more 15yr and within this last 5 month have already spent 15k to reroof my house to get it certified like they ask or they would not renew my policy and now there wanting to terminate it if I don't get another certification for an carport that I had already added to my policy back in 2012 so frustrating. So I've been paying for it all these years and feel blindsided for all these expenses.

This organization genuinely cares about its policyholders and values the skill and hard work of its employees. I count myself lucky to work with a team of people who are both capable and engaged - everyone pulls their own weight and is ready to help each other at a moment's notice. The icing on the cake is that we get to serve our fellow Texans and make a difference close to home.

They have screwed up my billing every year, and every year I have gone at least 2 weeks without coverage because they do not send the correct information to my mortgage lender. Their customer service is A JOKE! They really have no people skills and clearly their calls are recorded so their supervisors obviously don't care either that their staff is rude to customers. If you have am option steer clear of TWIA.
