Unruh Insurance Agency, Inc. was established in 1977 by Robert D. Unruh in Bowmansville, PA. In 1986 the agency expanded to include his two sons, Curtis and Kent, who now own and manage the business. The third generation has also become involved in the agency over the past several years. The agency's steady growth has enabled us to continue to expand our reputation for excellent service, adding sales agents and customer service representatives who specialize in each particular type of insurance to better guide clients in insurance protection.
We both joined the agency in 1986 as full-time sales agents. At that time our father was the owner. After he retired in 1992, we took over ownership of the agency. We have orchestrated many changes over the years and have consistently added top-notch employees to our staff to best serve our growing client base.

It took a few times for me to pull the trigger, but I finally decided to purchase private flood insurance. Mike Hoshour was very professional and very patient. He was able to find a policy with an independent carrier that didn't break my bank account. It's low enough you can pay the annual policy cost all at once and it won't make you cringe. Unless something changes, I'll just renew the policy every year through him.

I purchased business insurance for our horse and carriage ride. Having never purchased insurance for this type of business I needed someone to help me understand how it works. I shopped many companies. But Unruh was the most helpful. Then we had a claim during the year and we were paid quickly without any problems. I have been with Unruh for as long as I can remember. My parents loved them so naturally I used them as well. I recently just got married and decided to shop around a little bit for insurance. They give good honest rates. Theirs ended up being the cheapest with the best customer service! And their local so if you have any problems you can go right in compared to talking to someone over the phone (which most times you cant understand) Every time I walk in their office someone has a big smile on their face and they help me with any problem I have! My husband never worked with them before and after we left the office he was so glad he switched! Thanks Unruh!
