These firms were established by a farmer/consumer group that sought to supply affordable insurance protection for themselves and others like them in the county. In 1995 the Board of Directors saw the benefit of merging these two firms together. Today the firm writes Homeowners and Farmowners insurance in 8 counties: Johnson, Linn, Cedar, Iowa, Washington, Muscatine, Benton, and Louisa.
